Cube Match is a relaxing three-dimensional block-matching game. Against a bokeh picture of a child's bedroom, the player attempts to clear away floating patterns of cubes that display common childhood images. They have no other goals. They don't need to compete against global users or earn a top score. They merely need to remove all the blocks and unlock new enjoyable patterns.
The childhood images come from popular emoji sources and include different types of aliens, animals, drinks, foods, ghosts, smileys, toys and other objects. The player can only permanently remove the blocks in sets that contain three matching ones. That said, they can select any non-hidden piece, no matter its position in the pattern.
On each level, the game provides a seven-slot tray that's designed for completing three-block matches and temporary block storage. When the player makes selections, each block auto-transfers to a slot until a set forms, and then the game removes the set from the screen.
The player can fill every slot, as long as they make a set when they fill the last one. For example, they might fill all seven slots with two ladybug blocks, two baby bottle blocks, two tornado blocks, and a final ladybug block. The game then removes the ladybug set.
Cube Match displays a golden horizontal progress bar in the top-center area. This tool monitors the number of removed sets at any given time against the total possible number for a level.
